unless there is actual material that has been taken from the BBC’s version then yeah ok that’s fair enough but from what i’ve heard of this new modern take of sherlock holmes there’s nothing that’s going to be TOO similar especially if it’s taking place in america.

you can’t stop people from taking on sherlock holmes, whether it be modern or classic or whatever, so i don’t get why there’s such a big fuss coming from the creators of sherlock. even the series isn’t going to be called sherlock holmes. steven moffat and mark gatiss’s idea wasn’t particularly original, so if CBS want to make a modern day adaptation, why can’t they??
